1. Order the G3 Evolution or Core trade-in SKU providing your trade-in serial number.
2. Once your trade-in unit is validated by our team, you will be notified to proceed with shipping your old unit back to our warehouse.
3. If your current machine has remaining time on your subscription, please let your sales rep or our customer service team know so that we can have that transferred to your new programmer.
4. Our team will complete the upgrade form on your behalf and submit your trade-in information to Lock Labs.

FAQs:

What if the machine isn’t functional? 

As long as it can clearly be identified as an AutoProPAD, we’ll accept it. If it’s a different Xtool machine that looks like an AutoProPAD, but is something else, the machine will be rejected at intake.

What if the trade-in unit still has an active subscription? 

Lock Labs will add any remaining subscription time to your new machine, backdated to the date the new unit was purchased. Rollover subscription time can only be added to the newly purchased machine.

What if you don’t have all of your original accessories, the box, etc? 

Dig up as much as you can prior to sending in your old unit.

Can I trade in multiple units? 

No, one programmer per trade.

• Wi-Fi VCI for Ultimate Flexibility: The compact, palm-sized Wi-Fi Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) instantly connects to the tablet, allowing you to work without being tethered to the vehicle. A signal strength indicator on the tablet’s user interface ensures you’re within adequate range, allowing you to retreat to the safety of your van if your customer’s vehicle is too hot, cold, or unbearably filthy.
• EEPROM Capabilities: EEPROM key making on the G3 Evolution is straightforward thanks to its intuitive user interface. This ability is critical in situations where conventional key programming methods fail. For example, when a vehicle’s ECU (Engine Control Unit) or immobilizer module has been replaced, EEPROM allows you to reprogram or reset the immobilizer system. By reading the data stored in the immobilizer chip, you can retrieve the information necessary to program new keys.
